The West Witton parish also encompasses the small village of Swinithwaite, home to Swinithwaite Hall and Estate, Berry's Farm shop and cafe, and to The Temple Folly, which is now a self-catering retreat. There's woodland, fell, riverside and meadow walks to explore, scenic views of Wensleydale, nearby market towns and plenty for all ages to enjoy.

From West Witton you have access to Hawes and the Wensleydale Creamery, Aysgarth Falls, the horse racing fraternity of Middleham along with Middleham Castle, Bolton Castle, Northallerton 20 miles to the east, and the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales within easy reach.

You can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome whenever you visit. We kindly request visitors use the car parking layby located at the outskirts of the village heading towards Leyburn, to help avoid traffic congestion through the village. Please take your litter home with you or use the numerous bins in the village. Thank you.
